Mount Agung offers two distinct trekking routes, each designed for different fitness levels and adventure preferences.
A. Besakih Route – The Ultimate Summit Experience
Starting near the sacred Besakih Temple, this route leads you to the true summit of Mount Agung (3,142 m).

• Duration: 12–13 hours total
• Best for: Experienced hikers seeking the highest peak
The trek begins through dense tropical forest before transitioning into steep volcanic terrain. Reaching the summit at sunrise is an unforgettable reward—offering panoramic views above the clouds.

Although not reaching the highest summit, the sunrise views remain absolutely breathtaking.
